Muse and Alice in Chains have signed on to perform at the 2013 Rock in Rio festival, which takes place in Rio de Janeiro from September 13-22.

Muse will take the stage for a headlining set on September 14 and will be supported by Alice in Chains, who are making their first appearance at the fest. The bands join previously announced headliners Metallica , Iron Maiden and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band .
