Right to work legislation inspires protests in Lansing

LANSING (WKZO) -- Protestors took to the state Capitol Wednesday as legislators prepare to take up the issue of making Michigan a right-to-work state.  Earlier this week Governor Snyder said that the issue is on the agenda however he did not say when.  Some expect legislation to be introduced sometime Thursday.

Democrats and labor leaders have expressed fierce opposition to making Michigan the country's 24th right to work state.  In the meantime, a non-profit group linked to Amway heir and former Republican gubernatorial candidate Dick DeVos started running a television ad campaign in favor of the move.
