LANSING (WKZO) -- With the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warning this may be bad flu season, state health officials are urging people to get vaccinated.
The Michigan Department of Community Health says it's not too late to get the flu shot, and this is National Influenza Vaccination Week. The MDCH says national estimates show roughly 42-percent of people over the age of six months got a flu shot last year, while Michigan's rate was just under 39-percent.
Flu activity has been sporadic so far this year in the state.
