A DeWitt Township police officer remains in critical condition but will recover from injuries after he lost control of his patrol car early Monday morning and struck a utility pole while en route to a call. The 31-year-old officer’s name hasn’t been released. Police sayy the officer lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a curve on Herbison Road, west of Schavey Road. The vehicle struck trees and a utility pole, which led to 360 power outages in the area.
