DETROIT (METRO SOURCE) The Tigers won their second game in a row over the Yankees last night at Comerica Park. Rick Porcello got the win, giving up three runs on eight hits while striking out three in six and two third innings, and Jose Valverde notched his 22nd save of the year, but he surrendered two runs on three hits and allowed New York to put the tying run on third base before getting former teammate Curtis Granderson to pop out to end the game. Miguel Cabrera had a solo home run and three RBI, while Andy Dirks went three-for-four at the plate and drove in two runs. Detroit has now won six straight games. In tonight's third game of a four game set, Anibal Sanchez takes the mound for the Tigers, while the Yankees send CC Sabathia to the hill.
