The Tigers opened a four game series with the Yankees with a 7-2 win at Comerica Park last night.  Justin Verlander picked up his 12th victory of the season, giving up two runs on eight hits while striking out 14 over eight innings.  Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera each had solo home runs in Detroit's fifth straight win.  Tonight, Rick Porcello gets the start for the Tigers, while the Yankees send Phil Hughes to the mound.
