LANSING, Mich (WLMI)  A 31-year old Grand Ledge man faces up to 15-years in prison in connection with the beating death of a Lansing man early New Years Day.  Austin Smith was charged Wednesday with involuntary manslaughter for the death of 30-year old Travis Peterson.  Prosecutors say Smith and another man beat up Peterson outside a downtown Lansing bar following an argument.  Peterson died two days later.  Smith has posted bond and is due back in court on April 20^th.
