LANSING, Mich (WLMI) It’s day three of the sentencing hearing for a Lansing teen convicted of 1st degree murder. 15-year old Charles Lewis, Junior was convicted of killing 19-year old Shayla Johnson in July 2010. An Ingham County judge is listening to testimony before making his decision on whether to sentence Lewis as an adult—that means life in prison, without parole. Or—he could be sent to a juvenile facility at which point he would be re-evaluated. A third option would be a blended sentence. The judge is expected to make a ruling by Friday.
