LANSING, Mich (WLMI) A delay in the sentencing of a Lansing teen convicted of 1st degree murder. 15 year old Charles Lewis, Junior is facing a possible life sentence for the 2010 murder of 19-year old Shayla Johnson. On Wednesday, psychologists and juvenile court officials requested Lewis be placed in a detention center until he’s 21 and THEN be re-evaluated. Lewis was just 13 at the time of the murder. The hearing will resume next Tuesday.
