Red Wings Fall Again; Hope's Women Have Afternoon Action Slated

UNDATED (WHTC) - San Jose scored three goals in the second period, while Antti Niemi turned aside 40 shots on the night, as the Sharks handled the visiting Red Wings, 5-2. Detroit is in Los Angeles to face the Kings tomorrow, with broadcast time on 1450 WHTC at 3:40.

The Chicago Blackhawks take on the Flames in Calgary this evening.

In a NFL game you heard on 1450 WHTC last night, Denver edged the visiting New York Jets, 17-13. On Sunday, catch the Lions’ contest with Carolina from Ford Field in Detroit at 12 Noon on Holland’s Hometown Station, followed at 7:30 with Philadelphia playing the New York Giants in the Meadowlands.

College football tonight has Central Michigan welcoming Toledo to Mount Pleasant.

Minor pro hockey this evening at Van Andel Arena sees the Grand Rapids Griffins home to San Antonio.
