A copy of the very first Superman comic has been sold for over $3 million dollars in an online auction!
A museum quality copy of Action Comics #1 from 1938 received 48 bids on eBay. The winning bid was $3,207,852. That's the highest price ever paid for a comic book.
The comic was sold by prominent collectibles dealer Darren Adams. He created the video below to explain the importance of Action Comics #1 and explain how a pristine copy wound up in his possession.
Adams is donating one percent of the proceeds to the Christopher and Dana Reeve foundation.
