Is B.J. Novak the next Doc Ock?

by Greg Belfrage

There were a lot easter eggs in last week's highly anticipated "Amazing Spiderman 2" teaser. One scene showed a display case in Oscorp labs which appeared to contain the mechanical arms of Doctor Octopus.

Now comes this comment from B.J. Novak, who confirmed to Huffington Post that he's in the new movie...
I'm in a couple of scenes. Yeah, I was never told whether or not I could say. I can say that I work at Oscorp. And I am someone from the comic books, someone from the original. So, yeah, I'm somebody. I wouldn't say I'm pivotal, but I'm not an extra, either.

I find that to be extremely vague. However, it was enough for the fanboys to jump to the conclusion that Novak is playing Doc Ock.

A few months ago it was reported that Bryan Cranston had been cast as Lex Luthor in "Superman vs Batman". That report turned out to be completely bogus. Please take these rumors with a big grain of salt.

Speaking of Doc Ock... Tech Geek blog has stumbled across what may be the worst cosplay photo ever.  I wasn't sure if this guy was supposed to be Doctor Octopus or the Jiffy Pop Popcorn Man.
