Twins vs. Indians Series Preview

The Minnesota Twins (33-36) head into tonight’s series opener with the Cleveland Indians (36-35) fresh off a three game sweep of the Chicago White Sox (29-41). The Indians come into tonight’s game second in the AL Central, four games behind division leading Detroit Tigers and two games in front of the fourth place Twins.

Game one of the series starts tonight at 6:10 p.m.

Samuel Deduno (3-1, 3.26 ERA) vs. Scott Kazmir (3-4, 5.89 ERA)

Tomorrow nights first pitch is scheduled for 6:15 p.m.

P.J. Walters (2-2, 3.23 ERA) vs. Corey Kluber (5-4, 3.58 ERA)

First pitch for Sunday is scheduled for 12:05 p.m.

Mike Pelfrey (3-6, 6.11 ERA) vs. Carlos Carrasco (0-2, 8.40 ERA)

Stat Line: The Twins finished their 9 home stand going 6-3 and improving to 19-17 at Target Field this season.

The Indians currently have one of the best home records in the MLB going 22-14 at Progressive Field this year.

Last time these two teams meet the Indians defeated the Twins twice in a three game series in early May.

Prediction: Twins win the series 2-1 and gain a game on the second place Indians before heading to Miami.
