Tim Lambesis, vocalist for As I Lay Dying, was arrested last year and charged with solicitation for murder, after he attempted to hire a hitman to kill his wife. The hitman turned out to be an undercover cop, that Lambesis gave $1,000 in exchange for the murder of his wife.

The max penalty in California for the crime of solicitation for murder is 9 years in prison. Early reports said that Lambesis struck a plea deal with the prosecutors, but official sentencing won't take place until May.

As the rock community still waits on the final word of a possible guilty plea, some are still in shock that this event even happened.
