Ted Nugent apologizes to the president for "subhuman mongrel" comment... sort of.

by Otto Man

Ted Nugent is sorry -- sort of -- for calling President Barack Obama a "subhuman mongrel."

Nugent made the comments during a talk with Guns.com last month.

Over the weekend, Nugent is backing away from those comments, but the apology isn't really for President Obama. Ted told CNN: "I do apologize -- not necessarily to the President -- but on behalf of much better men than myself. I apologize for using the term. I will try to elevate my vernacular to the level of those great men that I'm learning from in the world of politics." And also wishes he had used "more understandable language".
