In support of the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Wis) gave testimony on the House floor of her own sexual assault via date rape.

The debate is currently ongoing on the reauthorization of this law that was signed by Bill Clinton in 1994.

It's nice to see Congress debating a subject pertinent to augmenting American lives as opposed to taking reproductive rights away from them.

I commend Rep. Moore on her courage.
