Erin Brown was with her boyfriend, Trevor Bradshaw, one night and he got drunk. She thought he was sober enough to drive her car. Unfortunately, he wasn't and ended up killing two pedestrians.

It's unclear whether she was also under the influence. But what IS clear is that she is being tried independendly and being held responsible for the deaths as if she drove herself.

Her judgment was clearly suspect. But 30 years for a mistake like that seems extreme.

But, then again, two people are dead because of that decision. The whole thing has me twisted up in knots.
