I guess this is 'Cases That Confuse Me Day' because here's another one.

James Hooker was a 41 year old family man and teacher. Jordan Powers was one of his students.

At some point the two of them knew they had a special connection. They contend that they did not pursue each other until AFTER she turned 18. That fact is still under investigation.

But due to the furor in their communities that this situation has caused he has since left his wife and kids and his job to move in with Jordan. She, also, has left the school and is planning on getting her diploma in May via independent study to pursue a career in nursing.

If they broke no laws, then have they done anything wrong? He WAS her teacher, but at 18 she has many of the rights of an adult. Can she not choose to date one of her teachers?

What I KNOW is wrong is the damage this has, undoubtedly, done to his family. It ain't cool. Besides that, how can I judge their choices?
