I saw this video on the facebook wall of a friend of mine that is a teacher herself. The story, basically, is that Stewart Cheifetz has an autistic son named Akian.
Akian had recently begun to act out physically against his teacher and her aide.
After six months of trying to diagnose what was wrong with his son he finally took it upon himself to place a wire on his son.
In the six and a half hours of audio he got he heard Akian's teacher and the teacher's aide talk about drinking and being hungover and subjecting Akian to abusive language.
This video is long and hurtful, but it will teach you a lot about what may be going on in your own school district.
