William Todd of Kentucky was in Nashville, Tennessee on a layover from his Greyhound Bus trip and, I suppose, wanted to get on with an adventure. Of an illegal sort.

To start, he robbed a local business called The Slaughterhouse (what the hell?) and stole a tazer, revolver, shotgun and t-shirt (?) before burning the place to the ground.

Someone definitely needed Calgon to take him away. I guess the police work just as well.
