This is pretty big news for anybody that plays video games.  Buying used games and trading in old ones is a pretty big part of the gaming cycle for most people.  The rumor going around is that the new xbox (Currently called xbox 720) Will have a feature that Won't let any game play on more than one system.

This means you can't loan a game to a friend.  It means you can't trade a game in if you beat it in a couple weeks.  It means you can't buy used games at a cheaper price.  It means the new Xbox may suck.

The view microsoft is taking is that games should be no different than if you buy a copy of microsoft office.  You can't share or resell that, so why should it be different for games.  They are pissed because the only people that get money from used sales are the stores.  The publishers and developers don't get anything.  I see how you would want to get paid for your work.  But I think a TON of people are going to buy a PS4 instead if they go through with this.  I would.  And I like Xbox.
