Most people have at least heard about the new Timeline format for Facebook.  A few of you may have already switched to it.  If you have not, it will soon be mandatory.

A few Facebook users were sent messages this month that they will be automatically switched to timeline in seven days.  The rest of you should be notified in the very near future.

Here are some things you need to know about switching.  First, it will only show things you have already made public in the past.  HOWEVER, you may have new friends now, that you did not have then.  This could cause problems if you have a picture labeled "Jenny is such a Bitch!  I hate her attitude and she smells like ham" that you posted 3 years before you and Jenny became Facebook friends.  It would be very easy for her to look that up and slap you with one of her giant ham scented hands.

That is why it gives you a 7 day window to "clean up" your timeline before it goes public.  I recomend you use this time wisely.  Don't let the automatic switch bite you in the ass.  Be proactive.
