I received this email and thought I would pass it on to you! Our listeners actually care about something more than themselves! Thank you for taking time to read this and help! We've heard too many stories about animal abuse or inhumane treatment and it's time to do something about it! Who said Rock N Roll doesn't care?
My name is Elizabeth Mates. I am sending this to you because I feel that this message needs to be spread throughout the United States, and starting with one of the biggest radio stations of my hometown was my best option.
There is a story unfolding in the UK about a dog named Lennox. He is a lab mix who resembles a. He in no way is actually a pit bull, but because of some crazy law over there, he is sentenced to death. His family is frantically trying to appeal his case and they need all the help they can get.
If you have any time at all to look at this site, I would greatly appreciate it. Even if you don't mention it on the air, at least you will know of what is happening to him, and you can spread the word to your friends.
Lennox has never caused harm to anyone. No one has ever even complained about him! He is just a sweet, caring, loving member of his family who was ripped away from them because of how he looks. Is this not the same discrimination that human kind frowns upon? Any and all help is welcomed in saving this poor. There is even a petition that people can sign that is reaching 25,000 signatures for people that feel he should be sent home.
Please vist http://www.facebook.com/pages/Save-Lennox/125005200853097 for more info on him.
Time is running out for Lennox. How long will it be before the United States makes a similar law?
We must remember that dogs are not born bad, people make them bad. All dogs have the same chance as any other to grow up to be a loving, wonderful pet. Lennox is one of those dogs, who has done NOTHING but love. Now he is living in inhumane conditions while he waits to die.
