These are the movies released in theaters Friday February 8th, 2013
Identity Theft - Rated R
Melissa McCarthy steals Jason Bateman’s identity. If I would have put any two other actors in that last sentence, this movie would be horrible. I think a buddy road trip with an identity thief is a terrible idea, but Bateman and McCarthy are talented enough to make even this plot work.
Verdict - I might not be in love with the idea of this movie, but the cast is talented and funny.
Side Effects - Rated R
Jude Law prescribes Rooney Mara some drugs for anxiety, then a dead body shows up. Who’s fault is it? Steven Soderbergh (Traffic and Erin Brockovich) directs this tense thriller that should be entertaining. Even Channing Tatums lack of acting ability shouldn’t hurt this too much.
Verdict - This should keep on the lower half of my seat.

Flight - Rated R
This story of a airline pilot saving a plane with people while drunk has gained Denzel Washington another Oscar nod. We all should watch this twice.
Here Comes The Boom - Rated PG
Kevin James joins the UFC to save the music program. Critics hated it but everyone I have ever talked to thought this was good. I wonder who I should believe.
Next week Bond, James Bond, a bunch of aliens want off the planet, and John McClane is back.
