These are the movies released in theaters Friday November 2nd, 2012.
Flight – Rated R
Denzel Washington lands a plane and is a national hero. But was he drunk? Denzel Washington could read an Anatomy textbook and I would find it entertaining. It is very hard to believe that this is Robert Zemeckis’s first live action film since 2000’s Cast Way. Zemeckis has shown a talent for telling awesome stories but has that faded away with time? Probably not in the hands of Denzel Washington.
Verdict - Oscar Buzz? Perhaps but Denzel shines in a movie that may or may not get me to stop drinking.
The Man With The Iron Fists – Rated R
Russell Crowe, Lucy Liu, Rick Yune, and former WWE Superstar Batista lead an all star cast as The RZA creates an ultimate weapon and has to join a band of warriors to defend a village. Sounds like a 70’s Kung Fu movie to me. Crowe will add depth, Liu will kick ass and make the fight scenes fun, and BATISTA SMASH. First time director The RZA (Yeah he is from the Wu Tang Clan) is a very interesting choice. He loves Asian culture but I wonder what kind of Urban vibes will be presented.
Verdict - This might not be perfect but The Man With The Iron Fists looks to be a awesome B Action Film
Wreck-It Ralph – Rated PG
A video game villain desides to be a nice guy and starts hopping to other arcade cabinets to find a purpose. Normally I would say this is just a shameless attempt to cash in on video games. The voice cast is the norm for this kind of movie. Two things stand out to me, two things make me think there is huge potential for Wreck-It Ralph to be a classic. 1. This is the directorial debut of one Rich Moore. Moore is one directors of The Simpsons and also Futurama. I always get pumped to see former Simpsons staffers branch out. That show has been on the air for over 20 years for a reason and I know visually this thing is going to be awesome. 2. Cameos from Bowser (Super Mario Brothers), Dr. Eggman (Main Villain of Sonic The Hedgehog), tons of guys from the Street Fighter games, and Pac-Man. The creators want to actually make you think the original characters in the movie are in a real game universe and love gaming enough to push for these characters to be in for a couple seconds. Think of Who Framed Roger Rabbit but for Video Games
Verdict - While Brave more than likely will be voted best Animated Movie of the year, Wreck-It Ralph has the talent behind it to be remembered for years on end.

A Christmas Story 2 – Rated PG
I wish this was a joke. IMDB did not have a poster and I know there is one but I don't have the emotional energy to find in on google. Some one thought it would be a good idea. to create a very dumb very real direct sequel to A Christmas Story. Ralph wants a car instead of a BB Gun, and I want to gouge my eyes with a spoon instead of watching it for 24 hours straight.
Next week our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, apparently a movie about Abe Lincoln that doesn't involve vampires, and Bond, James Bond.
