I saw the Hobbit on IMax on 3D. It was good. But not as good as any of The Lord Of The Rings Movies. I thought that several parts dragged out way too long. However lots of the movie felt familiar and I enjoyed myself. It also hurt that as a large man, my legs were bent at a perfect 90 degree angle for 3 hours and they hurt. 8/10

Guilt Trip- Rated PG-13
Seth Rogen is off to make the sell of his life, so on his cross coutnry trip he brings his mom, Barbra Streisand. A sex comedy with Babs? ehh no. While this might be a good idea, Seth Rogen hasn’t starred in anything in a long time that has been entertaining. Plus I do not have faith in Barbra Streisand to carry a movie like this. It’s not a drama.
Verdict - There will be an audience for this movie but I am not in it.
Monsters, Inc 3D – Rated G
This story of two monsters protecting a small girl is in 3D. Disney’s re-release of Pixar’s films in 3D are fine. They might not make much money gut they are fun to watch.
Verdict - I have never seen Monsters Inc. Perhaps I should in 3D

Jack Reacher – Rated PG-13
Tom Cruise stars as a former Military Policy office trying to help out a framed Army Sharpshooter. I have always found Tom Cruise more enjoyable when he is doing straight action movies. This semi-cop movie looks entertaining but are there enough pieces for this to be good. Its going to take more than Tom Cruise to push Jack Reacher beyond average.
Verdict - Entertaining yes, but I don’t think this is good enough to get a pass to the front of the line.
This is 40 – Rated R
Some of the characters from the great Knocked Up return as Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann turn 40. This is Director Judd Apatow’s follow up to Funny People. Apatow has always made us laugh and cry at the same time. I am up in the air about this. Especially after reading reviews complaining about it’s length. Rudd was hillarious in Knocked Up so this might follow suit.
Verdict - I do feel a strong personal connection to this films as I have with his past work but I still think this will work
