I am back for all your movie needs, this week Brad Pitt tries to play baseball, Matthew McConaughey Jr. in a action film, and some chicks in a sex comedy. Giggity
These are the movies that were released on Friday September 23rd, 2011
Moneyball – Rated PG-13

Based on the Book, Brad Pitt plays the maverick new General Manager of the Oakland A’s. He is using unconventional methods to create a champion baseball team using very little money. I am interested in seeing a new side to baseball in film. The front office dealings will be interesting to see. Seeing as Brad Pitt is leading a cast that can keep up with him, I think this will be a very interesting and entertaining movie.
Verdict – Jonah Hill is in a drama? I hope he can keep up. Brad Pitt will make this entertaining.
Abduction – Rated PG-13

Taylor Lautner (He’s the Werewolf from the Twilight movies) finds out that he is living a lie. He is actually a living weapon that people want back. John Singlton (Boys In Da Hood, Shaft (2001)) directs this movie that attempts to find out if Lautner has any ability to draw on his own. With the likes of Alfred Monlina, Jason Issacs, Maria Bello, Sigourney Weaver, and Freema Agyeman in the cast I have no doubt that I will be entertained, I wonder how well Taylor will do.
Verdict – I am interested but I am not interested in seeing this with tons of teenaged girls. I will wait for DVD
Killer Elite – Rated R

Clive Owen kidnaps Robert De Niro who is Jason Statham’s mentor. STATHAM ANGRY! This seems like every other action film that Clive Owen and Jason Statham have made. And that’s a good thing. I expect explosions and kick ass martial arts stuff. Not more then that.
Verdict – Lower expectations will help when I finally see this.
Dolphin Tale – Rated PG

Based on a true story, a dolphin looses his tail and a young boy and his family work to heal the dolphin AND THEMSELVES. This is another uplifting story that a jaded radio DJ strays away from. Harry Connick Jr, Ashley Judd, and Morgan Freeman co star so it can’t be that bad.
Verdict – I can’t put my finger on it but I think it this will be so sweet that I will have to take insulin.
