This week a new Clint Eastwood flim, Adam Sandler wants a pay check, and the last missing piece to your Harry Potter DVD collection.

J.Edgar– Rated R
Leonardo DiCaprio stars as famed FBI Director J Edgar Hoover in a film directed by Clint Eastwood. This deals with Hoover’s entire carrier. DiCaprio has one me over in recent years with turns in The Departed and Shutter Island (I held a grudge over Titanic for years.) I have high expectations.
Verdict – Its November when Oscar season starts to kick in. I expect this movie from Clint Eastwood to be gripping and through provoking.

Immortals (2011) – Rated R
Its humans vs. titans in this Greek Mythology filled 3D action movie. Henry Cavill (you will know this name as he is the next Superman) and Mickey Rourke lead the cast. After Clash of the Titans I am not sure about doing so many Greek Mythology action films. You can’t always be 300.
Verdict – Immortals should be passable at best. That’s all I ask for.
Jack And Jill – Rated PG
I echo the views expressed by George C Scott in the following film.
Verdict – I could loose the same amount of brain cells watching this movie or binge drinking. I choose binge drinking.
Box Office Top 5 Movies In The Country
1. Puss in Boots (2011) – Rated PG
2. Tower Heist – Rated PG-13
3. A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas – Rated R
4. Paranormal Activity 3 – Rated R
5. In Time – PG-13
Nothing stops Puss In Boots. I question Dreamworks decision not to release this in the summer. I am surprised that the third Harold and Kumar didn’t do better but I guess people are tiring of the stoner humor.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 – Rated PG-13
It’s the end of Harry Potter. Perhaps we should go out and see the sunlight now. Or I should catch up and watch the last three movies.
The Change-Up – Rated R
Jason Bateman is a married man with kids and he is envious of his bachelor friend Ryan Reynolds. Then they swap lives and bodies. This is like Freaky Friday with sex jokes. Though I don’t think Freaky Friday needed sex jokes.
If the Holidays didn’t depress me enough next week we get more dancing penguins and sparkley, emo, teenaged vampires. We will see if Tom Hanks can make me happy.
