We are in the middle of February which means we are almost to the Spring movie season.  Lets just try to get throw this together.  This week a surprisingly strong DVD line up, a strong contender for worst movie of the year, and Justin Bieber.

Just Go With It – PG-13

Danny (Adam Sandler) wants to hook up with a girl (Brooklyn Decker).  She thinks he is married so he drags his friends (Jennifer Aniston) and her kids in to his web of lies.  The same guys who have made Sandlers other movies make this movie.  If this was 1999 I would be excited.  Aniston’s involvement make me hope this is half way decent. 

Verdict- A renter for sure.

Gnomeo & Juliet – Rated G

It’s Romeo and Juliet with lawn gnomes.  WORST. IDEA. EVER.  I hope none of you are dragged to this by your kids

Verdict – Very little advertising plus a ridiculous plot mean I think Gnomeo & Juliet is early front runner for worst movie of the year

The Eagle – Rated PG-13

Verdict – With The Eagle get lost in the shuffle?  Yes.  I don’t plan on seeing this anytime soon.

Justin Bieber: Never Say Never – Rated G

Justin Bieber is in a movie.  Your 11 year old daughter/ sister/ cousin wants to go NOW!  This movie combines performances from his 2010 world tour and home movies. 

Verdict – I would go see this movie just to see the sad faces on all the non Bieber fans that were forced to go.

WOW, I though The Roommate would bomb but people liked it.  This makes me want to check it out more.  Everything else is not surprising.  I want to see how Mr. Sandler and Mr. Bieber shake things up next week.

Katherine Heigl has another movie out which means your girlfriend/wife wants to see this.  The romantic comedy had very mixed reviews but I don’t think that will stop any one

Paranormal Activity 2 – Rated R

It’s the sequel to a movie that I thought did need a sequel at all.  This movie happens the same time as Paramornal Activity so we get more story.  A sequel is already in development.  Watch this in the dark.

It’s Kind Of A Funny Story – Rated PG-13

The is Zach Galifianakis in a psych hospital. Its more of a coming of age story with Zach G. That has me sold right there.  I have been looking forward to seeing this as I missed it in theatres.

Next week Denzel fights a train, some one is number 4 and Liam Neeson further proves he is a bad ass.  I am going to try to go wash a way the thought of Shakespeare being done by lawn gnomes with alcohol.
