Posted by Mac D on

Lets just skip the intro for this week shall we?

These are the movies that were released on Wednesday November 23rd, 2011

Wait, do you mean to tell me that there are no movies coming out in theaters this week?

Really?

Oh crap.  Well this gives me a chance to catch up on some movies this weekend.

Box Office Top 5 Movies In The Country
1. Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 – Rated PG-13
2. The Muppets – Rated PG
3. Happy Feet 2 – Rated PG
4. Arthur Christmas – Rated PG
5. Hugo – Rated PG

Well sparkly vampires win again.  As of November 30th The Muppets have made back its budget so here’s hoping that Disney continues to create more Muppet related entertainment.

These are the movies released on DVD Tuesday, November, 29th, 2011
Friends With BenefitsRated R
Friends With Benefits
Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis try to have casual sex.  I do find this premise of this movie impossible as I have never ever found this kind of relationship.  Like it or not that special woman in your life has already decided to force you to watch this.  Roger Ebert liked it so it can’t be that bad.

The SmurfsRated PG
The Smurfs
The little blue guys and one gal go from the magical forest and into Central Park.  Hijinx ensues.  Critics hated this and I refuse to subjugate myself to this movie (and I have seen Gnomeo and Juliet) However audiences like it and it made tons of money.  So your kids will like it.

Our Idiot BrotherRated R

Our Idiot Brother
Paul Rudd plays a guy who is in trouble with the law and has to live with each of his three sisters. Paul Rudd can make anything entertaining.  It looks OK but this isn't the second coming of The Godfather.

Next week Harrison Ford in a film about my two favorite things plus movies, actual new movies in theaters.
