Welcome to the weekend movie guide. October is winding down which means no more horror movies until January at the earliest. This month started out with the unknowns but now the heavy hitters in horror take the stage. Paranormal Activity 2 did strong numbers in the box office but how will it do against Saw? I hate horror movies Mac D, what about me? Don’t worry I got you covered. Or do I?
These movies will be released Friday October 29th 2010

Directed by Kevin Greutert
Written by: Patrick Melton, Marcus Dunstan
Staring : Tobin Bell, Costas Madylor, and Betsy Russell
Synopsis from IMDB.com: As a deadly battle rages over Jigsaw's brutal legacy, a group of Jigsaw survivors gathers to seek the support of self-help guru and fellow survivor Bobby Dagen, a man whose own dark secrets unleash a new wave of terror.
Mac D’s Thoughts: If it must be Halloween it must be Saw. Man I wish that wasn’t true. This is the 7th entry into the Saw franchise. I have seen most but not all of the Saw films. I thought the first two were a breath of fresh air in the horror world when they came out. But confusing plots have left me in the dark. I could sit and describe to you all six seasons of Lost but I can’t tell you where we are in the plot of the Saw films. Most people don’t care about that. They just want to have a good time watching nameless bodies get sliced. It’s now in 3D, which might be good seeing as the movie was shot for 3d. Is it the last Saw film? Was Friday the 13th part 4: The Final Chapter really the final chapter? It will be a battle for tops in the box office between this film and Paranormal Activity 2. My guess is Saw 3D wins and there will be more Saw. Don’t get me wrong. I have a very hard time which movie will get my viewing this weekend.
Verdict: I will let the girlfriend decide between Paranormal Activity 2 and Saw 3D, and I will watch the loser on DVD. Either way she isn’t sleeping well tonight.
Yep
That’s it. Saw 3D is the only new movie being released this week. But say you don’t want to put pants on.
Here are some of the DVD releases for the week of October 25th

As a single male in my mid to late 20’s I have never seen a minute of Sex and the City. Something about Kim Cantrell talking about sex makes my gag reflex go off. They are traveling somewhere in this movie. Score some points with your lady and pick this up. Apparently the ladies love Sex and the City.
Back to the Future: 25th Anniversary Trilogy

The main reason I am saving up for a DeLoran is this movie. New special features are in this set that give you a new glimpse into a movie most people have seen multiple times. Now where is my hover board? Are we not supposed to have those already?
Santa Claus: The Movie 25th Anniversary edition
This 80’s gem is about two weeks early. It’s still Halloween. NOT CHRISTMAS. I used to love this movie as a kid for some reason. It’s a great family holiday movie.
That's it for this week. Next week Robert Downey Jr. shows up on our movie screens again but alas not in Iron Man armor. Bummer
