This is Madness! Madness? . . THIS IS EAST LANSING!

10/16/10.  I am at a sports bar out of the area with my buds for a bachelor party.  The bachelor, Tom, turns to me and asks “What happened at Midnight Madness?”.  “I don’t know” I replied as I went to my phone to check the internet.  We were watching the MSU vs Illionis football game at the time so several seconds later I looked up to check on the game.  To my shock I saw 300 star Gerard Buttler with MSU Basketball Coach Tom Izzo.  What did I miss?

For the uninformed, Midnight Madness is the yearly basketball even run by Tom Izzo and the Michigan State University Basketball team to hype up the students and the community before the season starts.  It works every year.  Well Izzo’s entrance this year was of him in an astronaut suit because the Final Four is in Houston this year.  The surprise came when 300 Star, King Leonidas himself Gerard Buttler showed up.  And he tore the roof off of the Breslin Center.

My initial reaction was of disbelief.  It wouldn’t be that cool I though.  Man was I wrong.  This video speaks for itself.
