As a life long Apple user, I am hooked into all things Apple. For the past couple of days I have been bombarded with teasers for an announcement to happen at 10 AM this morning. “Tomorrow will be just like any other day. . . that you will remember for the rest of your life.” What does that mean? Perhaps it is the long awaited announcement of the IPhone to Verizon wireless. Maybe they are announcing the next generation Iphone/ Itouch. That would mean price drops. A new Macbook? Who knows? I was excited for the announcement. It would make my life worth living again. Here Apple take all my money I don’t need it. I was so excited I could hardly sleep. Then Steven Jobs lied to me.
What is Apples giant, earth-shattering announcement? The Beatles are coming to Itunes. Yes that is it. All that anticipation for what? A band is coming to Itunes. I cant help but feel ripped off. All that hype for nothing. To be fair to The Beatles, if this was to announce Led Zepplin’s catalogue is coming to Itunes I still would be very irritated. I wanted something more game changing then The Beatles but apparently Apple wants me to think this is a huge deal. Well I still have Mac OSX Lion to fall back on.
The lesson here kids is never have high hopes. They will always be crushed.
