August 21 will see the release of 'Last of a Dying Breed,' Lynyrd Skynyrd's first record since 2009′s 'God & Guns.' The album, was produced by veteran Bob Marlette, who has also worked with Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper and Neal Schon.
The band has a new bass player, Johnny Colt, who was the original bass player in the Black Crowes, and has also played with Train and Rockstar Supernova.
Skynyrd, will embark on a world tour beginning May 4 in Baltimore concluding on August 31 in Memphis. This includes two dates in August with the Allman Brothers Band.
