On April 11th, 2012, the Grammy Museum at L.A. Live will debut their new exhibit Golden Gods: The History of Heavy Metal.
The show, a collaboration with Reveolver Magazine, will open in time to coincide with Revolver's The Golden Gods of Metal awards show.
The exhibition will display "rare artifacts from iconic metal bands" such as instruments, stage props, handwritten lyrics, costumes and "interactive experiences" like "Metal riff stations," a vocal "scream" booth and a double kick drum that teaches visitors Heavy Metal drumming.
The motive? To educate visitors on the origins of Heavy Metal, the bands, the subgenres and the controversies from over four decades of music.
