Alice in Chains set to Release New Record this Year...

After a solid comeback record in 2009 with ‘Black Gives Way to Blue,’ Alice in Chains are set to deliver a new studio record this year.

New frontman William DuVall will again handle the lead vocals, as he did on ‘Black Gives Way to Blue,’ which marked his debut as Alice in Chains’ frontman. The upcoming record will be the band’s second without late front man Layne Staley, as 2012 will mark the 10-year anniversary of his tragic death.

‘Black Gives Way to Blue’ was Alice in Chains fourth studio album and their first since the band’s 1996 self-titled album. The band will once again collaborate with producer, mixer and engineer Nick Raskulinecz.

With new releases expected from Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam, 2012 is beginning to look a lot like 1992 for fans of the Seattle grunge scene.
