Seems as though everybody's got a story to tell, and a story to sell. We can now add Aerosmith's Joe Perry to the ever growing list of scribes. Just as Bruce Springsteen was revealing he has shelved plans to pen his own memoir, Perry announced that he has a book is in the works, but offered up little in the way of details (i.e.,publisher, tentative release date, etc).
Perry adds his name to an ever growing list of rocker autobiographies, including two fellow band mates Steven Tyler's 'Does The Noise In My Head Bother You?' was issued last year, while drummer Joey Kramer had his own tale 'Hit Hard: A Story Of Hitting Rock Bottom At The Top' published in 2009.
Not to be left out of the bookshelf brigade, word has it that bassist Tom Hamilton is also working on a book. His, however, is rumored to be a fictitious telling of his life story. That leaves guitarist Brad Whitford as the only band member not to head down that road (yet).
In the meantime, Aerosmith continue to work on their long awaited, and highly anticipated, new record with producer Jack Douglas. The as-yet-untitled record is still on track for release sometime this year and the band recently announced it's all systems go for a summer tour beginning in June.
