It's been nine years since ZZ Top's last record, 'Mescalero.' However, the Texas blues-rock trio recently finished up an album with Rick Rubin, although, nobody seems to have any idea when it is being released.

Rubin has a somewhat unorthodox way of doing things, including making records, but he's got a sense of intuition that's tough to beat and chances are he's planning a timely release.

In the meantime, Billy Gibbons has kept busy by developing his own brand of barbecue sauce and acting on the Fox drama 'Bones.' ZZ Top will begin a month-long tour of America with 3 Doors Down in late May and will hit DTE Energy Music Theater on June 27th.
