Great news for Tool fans...over the Thanksgiving break, the band entered the studio with producer Joe Barresi (ISIS, Coheed & Cambria, Puscifier & Tomahawk) to begin recording a new record.  The band members are tracking all songs to tape using a Studer A827 analog tape recorder at their own home studio instead of going the digital route.

Tool has not issued a new record since 2006's "10,000 Days".
