Common Ground Music Festival, presented by Miller Lite, heats up the Midwest once again as it tacks another nine artists to its July lineup. Rock, classics and country are represented as officials announce: Michigan’s own Pop Evil along with IAMDYNAMITE and Candlebox (Monday, July 9); Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh (Tuesday, July 10); country stars, High Valley (Wednesday, July 11); Willie Nelson’s progeny, son Lukas Nelson (& Promise of the Real), Gunnar & the Grizzly Boys, Delta Rae (Thursday, July 12) and Like a Storm (Saturday, July 14).
MONDAY, JULY 9 — (previously announced: Bush) Tickets currently on sale

Pop Evil —Auto Value Main Stage — Having played nearly 400 shows in two years, the Michigan born-and-bred hard rock quintetbuilt their dream the old-fashioned way: through hard work. Their half melodic, half “evil” sound suggest Guns N’ Roses, Pantera and Motley Crue, yet Pop Evil has an aesthetic all their own. With sophomore album “War of Angels,” Pop Evil provides a spectacular showcase of vocal range and guitar showmanship including hits like “100 in a 55,“ “Monster You Made,” and “Bosses Daughter.”

IAMDYNAMITE —Auto Value Main Stage — Detroit indie-scene stealing rockers, IAMDYNAMITE, layer thunderous beats and crunching power chords with just one guitar and a drum set. Influenced by “the power rock of the 90s,” the band’s debut album, “SUPERMEGAFANTASTIC,” captures a nicely refined version of the energetic live performances where two guys sound like five, check out their latest hit “Stereo.”

Candlebox —Pearle Vision Pavilion— The 90s had its share of megastars and Candlebox rode that wave while selling more than five million albums including major hits like “Cover Me,” “Far Behind,” and “You.” Now, with 20+ years’ experience this modern-rock band again expertly combines aggression, melodicism and massive “hooks” to prove they are still in peak form.
TUESDAY, JULY 10 —Tickets on sale Friday, May 11, 8 a.m.- *Special Pricing Promotion below *

Joe Walsh —Auto Values Main Stage — This Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame inductee as three decades of musical history has been artfully carved by guitarist Joe Walsh. Best known as the James Gang and the Eagles guitarist, Walsh was instrumental in delivering the edgy sound of the #1 “Hotel California,” “All Night Long,” and “Rocky Mountain Way.” Walsh followed success with two solo albums: “You Can’t Argue With a Sick Mind, “and “But Seriously Folks,” which boasted the notorious hit, “Life’s Been Good.” After 14 years, the Eagles reunited for “Hell Freezes Over,” which reached #1 on the Billboard Charts and sparked one of the most successful tours in music history.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 11 — (previously announced: Kevin Costner & Modern West) Tickets currently on sale

High Valley —Auto Value Main Stage — his band has been nominated for Country Artist of the Year for the 2012 SiriusXM Indie Awards. The group won the 2011 Country Radio Music Award for Best New Group and garnered five wins at the 2011 Gospel Music Association Covenant Awards. In addition they have been nominated for a Canadian Country Music Award. High Valley has mastered this one-two punch making them one of the most impressive new acts in the country scene. Known for songs like “Call Me Old-Fashioned,” “My Way Back Home,” “On The Combine,” and “Somebody Like Me.”
THURSDAY, JULY 12 — (previously announced: Eric Church) Tickets currently on sale

Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real —Auto Value Main Stage — Yes, of THAT Nelson family. Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real’s star shines brightly. Chalk up national airtime on Letterman, Leno and Kimmel add to that performances at Farm Aid and Stagecoach and you’re guaranteed one amazing show. From calypso vibes, to gritty rock album “Wasted,” written in the back of the band’s tour bus, maintains rock-n-roll form as it tells the tale of Nelson’s summer of debauchery.
Gunnar & the Grizzly Boys —Pearle Vision Pavilion — High-energy Americana country rock is Gunnar’s signature sound. Their first album, “Homegrown,” keeps them true to their country roots even though they call Michigan home. Radio recognition and a high-energy live performance caught the eye of some of country’s biggest acts leading to opening acts for Gretchen Wilson, Lady Antebellum, Craig Morgan and Ty Stone. Imagine a combination of Justin Moore, Bruce Springsteen, Zac Brown Band, Jamey Johnson, and Eric Church with passion and energy not seen in country music and you’ve got Gunnar & the Grizzly Boys.

Delta Rae —Pearle Vision Pavilion — Four singers belt out four-part harmonies filled with rich Carolina soul. Delta Rae’s music reflects joy and passion as they play to sold-out crowds on both coasts. Their music touches on all aspects of Americana — gospel, country, bluegrass and blues— while blending in strong pop appeal.
SATURDAY, JULY 14 — (previously announced: Three Days Grace) Tickets currently on sale

Like A Storm —Auto Value Main Stage — These Vancouver-via-New Zealand guys are bringing powerful and dazzling hard rock. That’s what caught the ear of multi-platinum producer, Mike Plotnikoff (Three Days Grace/Seether/Papa Roach/Buckcherry) and likely what scored them gigs with arena-rock giants Creed, Staind, Shinedown and Skillet. Like A Storm posted a respectable hit on the Billboard New Artist Charts, especially considering sales were just three weeks old and came from fans’ tour purchases. Breaking in to the US through the well-respected Rock on the Range festival, Like A Storm has built a diehard following across the country and will tour with Creed this spring.
