Update: Lansing Police believe icy road conditions caused the semi to hit another vehicle. The semi lost control, then jack knifed. No injuries have been reported. Crews expect the road to be open by 8:00 AM... but in the meantime, Lansing Police ask that you use an alternate route.

I-96 Eastbound, East of MLK, in Lansing is closed due to a jackknifed semi. Please avoid the area.
