Sammy Hagar is sharing some new video from the studio, where he's been recording with Neal Schon (Journey) and Chickenfoot bandmates Michael Anthony and Chad Smith. It's a reunion for Hagar and Schon who teamed up for the short-lived project HSAS in 1983 with bassist Kenny Aaronson and drummer Michael Shrieve.
The four players recorded three songs over the weekend for a new Hagar record. The footage follows a recent update by Chickenfoot, who say they expect to regroup to make some new music in 2014.
That band's last effort was "Chickenfoot III," which was released in the fall of 2011. Drummer Chad Smith's commitments to the Red Hot Chili Peppers prevented him from joining Chickenfoot for live dates in support of the project, so the group brought in Kenny Aronoff to handle drum duties in his absence.
Sammy Hagar will be playing DTE with Michael Anthony on August 26th.
