Rush will release a 10” picture disc of The Garden, the closing track from 2012’s Clockwork Angels, as the band partners with independent record stores for Black Friday (November 29th).
The 10” includes two versions of The Garden – Side A features the studio version from the record, while Side B includes a live version of the song with the Clockwork Angels String Ensemble taken from the upcoming live release Clockwork Angels Tour.
Designed by Crankbunny (Norma V. Toraya), the 10” features artwork from her stunning animated screen projections shown during the performance of The Garden during the Clockwork Angels tour.
This special 10” will be limited and available only for this special celebration of independent music retailers, in the spirit of the annual Record Store Day event held each April.
The day following the U.S. Thanksgiving, Black Friday is generally regarded as the start of the Christmas holiday shopping season and, for much of the past decade, has become the biggest retail shopping day of the year.
Rush’s forthcoming live package, Clockwork Angels Tour, will be released on DVD/Blu-ray and CD November 19.
The project was filmed and recorded last November at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas on the band's 11-month marathon world tour.
