Ted Nugent will release a new record titled Shutup & Jam! later this year, and will preview songs from the record on a newly-announced summer tour of the same name.
The trek, which starts July 3 in Wichita Falls, Texas, will see Nugent joined by Derek St. Holmes on vocals and rhythm guitar, bassist Greg Smith and drummer Wild Mick Brown (Dokken).
Ted made headlines in Texas recently when the town of Longview decided to pay him not to play their 4th of July concert following the controversy surrounding the rockers appearance with Texas gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott.
The town paid Nugent $16,000 half of his performance fee not to appear at the event, as originally contracted, saying he was "not the right feel for this kind of community event."
