Linkin Park Confirmed as Download Festival Headliners

by Jon Bloggin' Rogo

Linkin Park have been confirmed as headliners of the second night at next year’s Download Festival when they will perform their Hybrid Theory record in it's entirely.

Linkin Park will join Friday show-closers Avenged Sevenfold, who deliver their first-ever UK bill-topping set at Donington, supported by Rob Zombie.

Fall Out Boy will be second-top of the main stage bill on the Saturday.

The 2014 edition of Download takes place on June 13-15, 2014, with the usual litany of hundreds of big-name rock and metal acts, rising stars and other attractions besides.

Hybrid Theory was released in 2000, and it spawned hit singles One Step Closer, Crawling, and In the End. The record revival confirms frontman Chester Bennington’s commitment to the band, even though he’s doubling up as vocalist for Stone Temple Pilots – who headlined Download in 2010 prior to firing Scott Weiland earlier this year.
