Apart from winning his battle with cancer, Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell is also busy with making new music these days - he'll be soon hitting the studio with both the Def Leppard crew as well his own band.
Campbell is working on a rock record which will contain lots of guitar. He intends to sing [on the record]. However, he is open to enlisting a real singer to help out if he fails miserably at the demo stages.
Joining Campbell in the studio for the making of his new solo album are bassist Lou Castro and drummer Glen Sobel.
According to Campbell, he is also writing music for Def Leppard as the band will be recording new material in February.
The 51-year-old Campbell was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma earlier in the year.
Campbell, who joined Def Leppard in 1992 after stints in DioIO and Whitesnake, had been receiving chemotherapy since April.
