Hard to believe that it's been 10 years since the untimely death of Alice In Chains lead singer Layne Staley, and to mark this anniversary and honor his life, supporters are calling on all fans, new and old, to join them on the eve of April 5th to sing back to the man who gave us so much great music.

  • Ratt Working on New Record and Plan iTunes Compilation Release

    Posted by Jon Rockin Rogo

Ratt continues to write songs for their new studio record, the follow-up to their 2010 comeback album 'Infestation' and will be releasing a compilation record on their own via iTunes, music from their vaults of un-released and live tracks from 1983-1991.

Vocalist Stephen Pearcy and guitarist Warren DeMartini have been demoing songs for the currently untitled record as well as working with the Foo Fighter's Dave Grohl on a separate project.

Stephen Pearcy has recently locked in a publisher for the new book (no title yet), which should be finished later this year for an early 2013 release. Look for Pearcy on a new episode of VH-1's Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp, which filmed in February 2012.

Selling more than 14 million albums in the US alone and establishing themselves as one of the most popular bands of the 1980's, Ratt returned in 2010 with 'Infestation' and new guitarist Carlos Cavazo (of Quiet Riot fame).

  • Original KISS Drummer Peter Criss Set to Publish Autobiography

    Posted by Jon Rockin Rogo

The rock n' roll library just keeps expanding! The latest to add his life to the ever-increasing stack of life stories is none other than Peter Criss. The once (and forever) KISS drummer will issue 'Makeup To Breakup' on Rocktober 23.  'Makeup To Breakup' is expected to be Peter Criss' unvarnished and eye-opening life story, from sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll to multiple brushes with death.

Speaking of the book, Criss said, "It's about my life. Of course, it's about drugs, sex and rock and roll, but it's about my parents, my growing up, getting through Brooklyn, going through gangs, getting into drugs, getting out of them, getting through cancer. I'm four years free of cancer now. I'm doing great. The best of all is I get to share my true feelings of my love for God, family, friends and fame. It's been a wonderful life."

Criss, who is also working on a new record, is getting some help putting the book together from noted author Larry 'Ratso' Sloman, who has previously worked on books by Howard Stern and Anthony Kiedis, as well as penning his own books on Bob Dylan and Abbie Hoffman among others.
